Abstract:
During the compilation of The Regional Geology of Jiangxi Province, The Mineral Geology of Jiangxi Province and The Environmental Geological Survey in Jiangxi Province, the authors further studied the tectonic activities of the Marina Pacific Ocean in Jiangxi Province and its adjacent areas and their connection with geological resources and environment. The research suggests that during the Yanshanian movement, terrestrial area in East Asia was in an activated orogenic environment because the Pacific plate subducted towards the Eurasian plate, accompanied with relatively strong sinister twisting, forming a new Cathaysian tectonic system which was the major structure since the Marina Pacific tectonic activity. The Yanshanian Movement of South China began in the middle Jurassic, expanding in the shape of eccentric nucleus. The lithosphere activation and large-scale material adjustment caused the extensive magmatic mineralization and thermal creep movement of the earth’s crust, forming the complex dynamic mechanism. This area entered to Yanshannian post-tectonic period, to mountain-basin forming period due to extensive Himalayan expansion, and then to weak orogenic stage in the Paleogene, until the earth’s crust tended to be relatively stable. All this activities not only constituted the superior ecological-geological environment but brought some environmental geological issues.
