Abstract:
On the basis of the fact that large-scale fractures often occur in hydrothermal deposits, especial in porphyry deposits, along with previous studies of the fissure systems of porphyry deposits, authors carried out field geological survey in massive fissure zones inthe Taoxi area and collected samples of quartz sulphides filling in fissures. The result shows that the elements of Au, Ag, Pb, Zn have reached the industrial grades, and halo elements such as As, Sb, Bi are highly enriched in this deposit.Combined with the regional metallogenic geological background, it can be inferred that gold-polymetallic deposits may be concealed under or adjacent to the fissure zones. Therefore, further exploration is worth of undertaking in fissure zones of the Taoxi area.
