Abstract:
This study selected three areas(Chahe, Huangjiakou and Xiaogang)in the north central region of Honghu as a target area, from which 1540 surface soil samples and 100 deep soil samples were collected. Through a systematic study of selenium contents for the soil samples, authors summarized the distribution characteristics of the selenium element in soil. The results show that under the condition that there is no external impact, the concentration of Se in the acidic soil is higher than that in the alkaline soil, i.e. the selenium content in surface soil is higher than that in the deep soil. Selenium-rich soil occurs mainly in neutral and acidic soil. With the soil pH value converting from acidic to alkaline, the selenium content in soil gradually decreases from weak acidity(equal to slightly acidic), neutral, alkaline, and to strong alkaline. The three-level classification diagram of soil shows 41.43% of first-level Se-rich soil used as agricultural and aquaculture land, 32.21% of the secondary selenium-rich land area, and 26.36% of three level Se-rich land.
