Abstract:
Based on the theories of hydrology and groundwater dynamics, a numerical model of groundwater recharge and allowable yield was put forward to calculate groundwater resources and evaluate its potential in the Leizhou Peninsula. The results calculated indicate that the total recharge amount of groundwater was 67.79×10
8 m
3/a and the allowable yield of groundwater was 50.19×10
8 m
3/a in the Leizhou Peninsula. The groundwater resources of drinking or drinking after appropriate treatment were 48.92×10
8 m
3/a, which accounted for 97.47% of the total allowable yield of groundwater. In fact, the groundwater yield in the Leizhou Peninsula was 9.82×10
8 m
3/a in 2015. However, the potential of groundwater resources was 40.37×10
8 m
3/a. The exploitation level of groundwater resources in this area is relatively low, and therefore, the Leizhou Peninsula will have great potential for exploration of groundwater.
