K-feldspar metasomatism in the Dongxi-Nanguanling gold deposit, Huoshan County, Anhui and its genetic relationship to gold mineralization

    • The Dongxi-Nanguanling gold deposit is the first primary gold deposit found in the eastern section of North Huaiyang, in which K-feldspar alteration has close relationship with gold mineralization. The mineragraphy, electroprobe and X-ray dilfraction analyses show that most of K-feldspars in this gold deposit are ordered low-temperature adularias of the monoclinic system instead of disorder sanidine. It reflects low temperature mineralization and K enrichment of primary ore-forming fluids. It can be concluded that the K-feldspar alteration and Au mineralization occurred contemporaneously during the mineralization process of quartz+adularia+gold(silver).
